Adding a new domain

Important note: the option for adding a new domain is used in case you have registered a domain with another provider and wish to use our services (e.g. hosting). The first step is setting up our DNS parameters using the panel for administering the domain with that other provider. These name servers should be setup:

  • ns1.mdns.rs
  • ns2.mdns.rs
  • ns3.mdns.rs
  • ns4.mdns.rs

After specifying our DNS, you should continue with adding that domain on the mCloud portal in order to be able to manage it further (define DNS records, an MX record, aliases, etc).

In order to start adding a new domain, choose option mDNS from the Services menu and then click Anycast DNS in the page displayed next.

The following page will be displayed.

Click Add Domain

 The following parameters are available:

  • Domain - enter the desired domain name (e.g: mydomain.com)
    •  note: the domain is entered without the www prefix and with the desired top level domain (com, rs, itd)
  • Zone content - choose the method for filling the domain name parameters
    • I will add entries manually - choose this option to specify all entries manually
    • Clone entries from other domain - choose this option to clone the settings from the existing domain
    • Use premade DNS template - choose this option in case you wish to use a previously defined DNA template

After setting the desired parameters, click Submit and the new domain will be added. For further information on managing domains, please consult our other related articles.
