Defining contacts for the domain
The following options are available for defining contacts during the procedure of registering a new domain (option Use main contact details I’ll provide during checkout):
- Use the main contact information for registering the domain. This contact will become the registrant. If this is your choice, leave the default value.
- Register the domain for a different contact according to the following available roles:
- Registrant - a person or a company to which domain names are registered and who have all user rights over the domain. Registrant has all user rights over the domain as long as he renews the domain name registration..
- Administrator - is a legal entity or individual authorised by the registrant to receive for and on behalf of the registrant, data of significance for the registration of the domain name. The administrative contact is authorised to make changes to all data regarding the registered domain name, other than to change the registrant, change the administrative contact or file an application to cancel the domain name registration.
- Technical contact - is a legal entity or individual authorised by the registrant to receive for and on behalf of the registrant, data relating to technical matters of significance for the registration of the domain name.
- Billing contact - person in charge of finances
Use option Add this contact to my account to add a new contact to your account, which will allow this contact to manage your domain.
