mCloud allows you to allow access to your site only for explicitely specify ied IP addresses or range. This way you can make your site accessible only to those addresses while the rest of the potential visitors will not be able to acceess it.
The default setting is that everyone can access and you can restrict it by adding individual IP addresses you want to allow (or IP range). In order to start specifying the allowed IP addresses, choose option Safety from the Account menu.
The following page will be displayed.
The following options are available:
- Adding a single IP address
- Adding an Ip range
- Removing an IP address or range
Adding a single IP address
In order to allow access to a single IP address (or multiple individual addresses) enter the desired address inside the IP access/subnet field and click Add Allowed IP/range.
The specified IP address will be listed in the table below. From this point on, access will only be allowed to the IP address you have added.
Note: you can repeat this procedure for as many individual IP addresses you want.
Adding an IP range
In order to allow access to a range of IP addresses enter the desired IP range (e.g.192.168.1.0/24) into IP access/subnet field and click Add Allowed IP/range.
The specified IP range will be listed in the table below. From this point on, access will only be allowed to the IP range you have added.
Removing an IP address/range
In order to remove an IP address/range, i.e. disallow further access to that IP, click Delete next to the desired item.
After clicking Delete, the chosen IP address or range will be disallowed access, i.e they will be removed from the list of allowed IPs and will not have further access to the site.
